D’Amour Library welcomes you as a member of our Western New England College community. The Library provides access to over 10,000 periodicals and 110,000 volumes in both print and electronic formats. In addition to the materials housed in the Library’s collections, students also have access to resources such as books, journal articles, research reports, and theses which are available in libraries throughout the world.

There are a variety of services available to online and off-campus students electronically, as well as by mail and phone:

  • Mail delivery is available for books, periodical articles, and other materials owned by D’Amour Library.
     
  • Electronic indexes provide access to periodical articles covering a wide range of subjects. These indexes, many of which include full text articles, are accessible via the D’Amour Library homepage.
     
  • Interlibrary loan obtains books and materials not available at D'Amour Library. To submit an interlibrary loan request call the toll-free number 1-800-325-1122 and ask for extension 1654—the Interlibrary Loan Department. An interlibrary loan request may also be submitted online.
     
  • Reference assistance is available to help students find information as well as to identify and use information resources. To receive reference assistance call the toll-free number 1-800-325-1122 and ask for extension 1655—the Reference Department. Reference assistance is also available online.

Registration
To register at D’Amour Library contact the Circulation Department by phone at 800-325-1122 x1535 or register online to obtain a barcode number. Please allow two days for processing.

Internet Access
Libraries.wnec.edu is the address of the D’Amour Library home page. It is also accessible from the Western New England College homepage: www.wnec.edu, click on Resources.

The Library homepage is the gateway to information resources for the College community. Among the categories of resources included within the home page are electronic books and journals, electronic indexes, and government information to name a few. The homepage also provides access to WILDPAC, the College’s online catalogue.

The Library homepage can be accessed through any web browser. You must have a valid Western New England College ID or D’Amour Library Off-Campus ID, a D’Amour Library barcode number, and a pin number to access the electronic indexes remotely. Instructions for accessing D’Amour Library’s electronic indexes from off-campus are available at: http://libraries.wnec.edu/libraries/remote.html.
